John 3:30

He must increase, but I must decrease.

John the baptist was a great man. Christ said he was the man that should prepare the way for His coming. John recognized that Jesus was the Christ. He did not try to hold on to any followers, or status he had gained. He knew and understood Gods plan. Christ was the one who had come to take away the sins of the world. Because of this John had to decrease so that Christ might increase.
We can do this in our own lives. Our personal pleasures or activities must decrease so we can have an increase of Christ in our lives. We can spend less time with a hobby and more time going to the temple, or reading scriptures with our spouses. For Christ to increase in our lives we must be willing to decrease parts of it so that he can fit.
I know that as we make more room for Christ in our lives we will feel more joy than we ever could doing anything else.
